Green Technology Incubator Has Been Ceremonially Opened


On October 9, a ceremonial opening event of the Green Technology Incubator (GTI) took place, which at the same time was also retrospection of the work accomplished during the first months.

The GTI was created within a programme "Innovations in “Green” Production Sphere"  co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism with a purpose of providing pre-incubation and incubation services to green business ideas that are focused on technological solutions. Founders of the GTI are the University of Latvia, Riga Technical University and Norway’s partner organisation SIVA that has a large experience in a creation of incubators and in a provision of services. Currently, the GTI provides an aid to 21 prospective business idea whose authors are experienced entrepreneurs willing to implement brave ideas as well as students and scientists aiming to become successful entrepreneurs. In the nearest future, there will be 20 more ideas approved.
